During the 1930s, Bundaberg’s local competition continued to grow, with new clubs continuing to form and a representative team continuing to play intercity matches. In 1935, the Bundaberg District and Soccer Association affiliated with the Queensland Soccer Council.
Maryborough also continued to play during this period, though it looks as though Bundaberg’s representative team was stronger during the 1930s. In 1939, Bundaberg won a match against Maryborough 7-2.
