1900s

Matches Continue

In the early 1900s, teams continued to play intercity matches. In 1900, Ipswich team, the Bush Rats travelled to Howard to play a match against the Howard Rovers resulting in a 3-1 win for the Howards. A team from Burrum (The Burrum Turkeys) also appeared to form, taking on Bundaberg in 1901. However, football activity seems to drop off by the mid 1900s.
