Tahj Minniecon

FIRST NATIONS PLAYER FOR ROAR AND AUSTRALIA

Tahj Minniecon was born in Cairns, but grew up in Brisbane playing junior soccer with Loganholme Lightning FC. Minniecon has “connections to the Kabi Kabi and Wiradjuri mobs and Vanuatu.” He was picked up by both Queensland Academy of Sport and Australian Institute of Sport at a young age and by 2005 had represented Australia at the Niigata Youth Tournament scoring the winning goal to take home the cup. In 2007 signed with the Roar. That same year he represented Australia at the Youth Olympics in Sydney scoring a crucial goal for the team. In 2009 Minniecon joined Gold Coast United.
