THISTLE PLAYER AND SOCCEROO #4
Jock Cumberford was born in Scotland ca 1894. He played for Brisbane club, Thistle FC, and was a member of the inaugural Australian team that toured New Zealand in 1922. Jock scored Australia’s first international goal (see: photo of commemorative medal).
Jock is the older brother of Dave Cumberford who also played in the Australian team (Socceroo #3)
