In Season 1990/1991 Charlton Athletic toured Queensland. They played Brisbane May 20, Bundaberg May 22, Rockhampton May 24 and Townsville May 26.
At the time they were playing in the English Second Division. Grant Beevers scored Rockhampton’s first, from an assist by Jason Wyer, but it only served to poke the slumbering giant. Charlton would take five goals from Rocky’s best team.
